During ongoing operations: large insurance company modernizes building automation with DEOS

A large German insurance company has extensively modernized its building automation. After the original installation in 2005 and the first partial renovation with DEOS technology in 2014, the automation solution for other parts of the building has now been renewed. The renovation covered a total of 88,000 square meters of office space with different room concepts. Increasing energy awareness, outdated technology and a growing number of system failures made the modernization necessary. The challenge: the conversion had to be carried out during operation. Two central DEOS solutions were used – the wired room automation with the Regio Ardo room controller and a radio-based LoRaWAN solution with the battery-free heating thermostat DEOS TEO. The new technology promises optimized operation and higher energy savings.
