DEOS AG - SMD Fertigung OPEN EMS
One of the most modern production lines for surface-mounted devices (SMDs) in Europe is located at DEOS’ headquarters in Rheine, Germany. Featuring a fully automated production process for surface-mounting electronic components, up to 10,000 printed circuit boards (PCBs) are fitted here. Each single PCB is subject to stringent inspections, followed by a quality inspection, before it exits the production process. This ensures that the highest level of quality is achieved – 100% Made in Germany.
A state-of-the-art, computer-controlled production planning program is used to optimise the output rate for the SMD production line, so that it is possible to process up to 36,000 components per hour with a positioning accuracy of 3/100 mm.
Lasers will adjust the tiny electronic components that are as small as 0.5 x 0.2 mm. They are then placed on soldering paste that was applied on the PCBs beforehand, followed by being soldered in the furnace. Later on they will form the central intelligence used to control entire energy supply systems for buildings.
