adidas Distribution Center
In 2013, the adidas Group opened its largest distribution centre in terms of space (55,000m²) in Niedersachsenpark, north of Osnabrück. From there, all processes and services of the adidas and Reebok brands are controlled and deliveries to all of Western Europe are commissioned.
For the high-bay warehouses, sorting workplaces and the administrative workplaces, an optimal storage or working temperature is required. To ensure good air quality at the workplaces and in the social areas, the air exchange is realised via four ventilation systems. I&C technology from DEOS ensures that different media such as air heaters, radiant ceiling panels, radiators and ventilation systems work together perfectly.
In the entire distribution centre, approx. 800 data points are connected to 6 controllers of the type OPEN 600 EMS and OPEN 810 EMS with 54 OPEN IO modules. All controllers are BACnet-capable so that the system can later be connected to an Adidas GLT. The control cabinets are interconnected with fibre-optic cables and equipped with a tablet PC for convenient and fully graphic operation on site. In addition, the web-based BMS software OPENweb with its function modules (logbook, event server, event control centre) is in use. A second PC is located in the gatekeeper area, from which the entire system can also be operated and monitored. This ensures that any faults can be responded to quickly and at any time.
