    The OPEN 4100 EMS BACnet controller and the OPEN 3100 EMS controller (proprietary) are among the more powerful controllers in the DEOS product portfolio, with up to 4,000 physical data points. These are freely programmable or programmable with our time-saving libraries and have been developed for the realization of demanding building automation projects (GA projects) with high demands on operational safety – 100% made in Germany.

    In addition to the standard C1 variant, to which up to 99 OPEN IO modules can be connected, the two automation stations are also available as a C2 variant. This supports the connection of up to 198 OPEN IO modules and, as a hot standby controller, is part of our redundancy solution, which ensures the highest possible operational reliability in your project.

     

    Redundancy enables maximum operational reliability

    Redundant hot standby controller

    For the highest possible operational reliability, you can also use the OPEN 4100 EMS / OPEN 3100 EMS as a redundant hot standby controller. For this purpose, two controllers are operated on one CAN bus. The Primary Controller is responsible for the control and regulation tasks. On the other hand, the secondary controller remains in standby mode and automatically takes over the control and regulation of the building services equipment in the event of a primary controller failure (no physical switching of the CAN bus required).

    Redundancy through CAN-HSB safety ring bus

    The CAN-HSB safety ring bus (High Safety Bus) offers additional safety functions compared to the simple CAN bus: In case of interruption of a CAN bus, the complete system remains in operation due to redundant control. The narrowing down diagnosis is done automatically and a detailed report shows the user via which CAN segment the connected IO modules can still be reached. This allows you to detect errors and correct them as quickly as possible.
