Simple operation for maximum safety
The security settings in the Service & Security Center are easy to use. Users on OPEN EMS can be created and managed with an expiration date if desired. In addition, the user can choose between three firewall modes: Inactive, Maintenance and Operation. Preconfigured security settings for the individual practice case can be set here.
These are adjustable via sliders. For employees with IT expertise, the expert mode offers additional firewall setting options. Changes to the configuration as well as login and logout processes are historized. In summary: the functions of the Service & Security Center can be operated by any employee, even without in-depth IT expertise.
Innovative firewall modes
In addition to the Inactive and Operation modes, the Maintenance mode releases additional ports for incoming connections. This enables, for example, the upload of new control programs via uploader to the DDC controller. The session timer will cause the controller to automatically reset to operating mode after any maintenance. This prevents security breaches caused by the temporary opening of maintenance ports.
All these functions follow the practical benefit and the principle “keep it smart & simple”. This intuitive operating concept means that securing the controllers requires little effort – and all this without any IT know-how.
