Aviation Theme Park Aviodrome
The aviation theme park was opened in 1971 under the name “Aviodrome” at Schiphol (NL) and has been located on the grounds of Lelystad Airport since 2003. In the aviation museum, visitors can see and touch various aircraft exhibits from Dutch aviation history.
The Aviodrome museum building also houses a large conference hall that is used for lectures and events. In order to guarantee a good indoor climate and eliminate draughts, the entire ventilation system was converted to the DEOS control technology OPENbalance (today: OPENdynamics) – with integrated Bosch technology. OPENdynamics creates a balanced ratio between supply and extract air (volume flow balance) and uses the molecular gas movement of the air molecules to distribute the air evenly in the room (diffusion instead of ventilation). This creates a noticeably more pleasant room climate, as the insulating air layers remain in place. With its innovative control concept, OPENdynamics always adjusts the ventilation systems to the most cost-effective operating point, thus guaranteeing significant energy and cost savings for the Aviodrome.
