In this retrofit project, the goal was to find a quick and cost-effective energy-saving solution for the historic office building. Since heating accounts for around 70% of total energy consumption, the focus was on optimizing the heating system while integrating it with the existing REGIN Arrigo BMS. Due to the building’s thick walls, a wired solution was not feasible, leading to the selection of battery-free LoRaWAN DEOS TEO wireless thermostats. With just two LoRaWAN gateways, the entire building was efficiently covered, ensuring seamless communication and preventing unnecessary heating losses.
