Life insurance ERGO

DEOS Gebäudeautomation GmbH has renewed the building technology of ERGO Lebensversicherung AG, a subsidiary of the ERGO Group, in Hamburg in a large-scale project. In the process, the entire DDC technology (Direct Digital Control) was replaced in the main administrative offices (HV) 1 and 2 and an energy optimisation system for the ventilation systems was installed.

Based on the positive experience with the conversion of HV2, the systems of HV1 were also equipped with DEOS technology. In addition, in accordance with the requirements, it was possible to ensure that everyday office life would not be interrupted, as the floor ceilings did not have to be replaced despite the energy optimisation system.

Following the principle of open communication, the native BACnet controllers of the OPEN EMS series support the BACnet protocol and can thus communicate with other BACnet devices via the Ethernet network.

After the modernisation measures, measurements of the new building technology have shown that the air volume flows have been reduced from 1,800,000 m³/h to 800,000 m³/h. In addition, the new air-conditioning technology enables ERGO Lebensversicherung AG to save around 1 million euros a year in energy costs.
