Secure connection: Central building management system connection for EDEKA Süd

Edeka Zentrale AG & Co. KG employs around 376,000 people, making it Germany’s largest food retailer. The Edeka Group comprises around 12,000 stores.

Our system partner RAPIRO Haustechnik approached us with the request for a central connection to provide simpler and faster service for various stores belonging to the EDEKA Süd Group. Secure connection of the individual stores was ensured via DEOS Secure Connect. In addition, the decision was made to connect a central OPENweb as DEOS Secure CloudApplications. This solution enables our system partner to connect easily, quickly, and, above all, securely for service calls—at any time and from any location. This will save RAPIRO further personnel costs for GLT maintenance in the future, thereby also reducing expenses.
