Humboldt High School, Karlsruhe: Up to 50% savings in wiring time
Retrofitting old building automation systems for energy optimization, decarbonization, and/or compliance with GEG guidelines can be very time-consuming in terms of wiring. Manuel Hug MSR-Technik (DEOS system partner) prefers to use the new DEOS solution for modernization rather than the original manufacturer’s product.
With this DEOS solution, Manuel Hug saves up to 50% of wiring time on retrofit projects.
“We save up to 50% of the wiring time when modernizing or converting old systems to DEOS with the new DI16G retrofit module. Our end customers also benefit from this: everything from planning to commissioning is faster and the replacement runs smoothly. I am really enthusiastic about this simple DEOS solution,“ says Manuel Hug, owner of the company ”Manuel Hug MSR-Technik” from Endingen (Baden-Württemberg).
Manuel Hug was also able to gain this experience in his last project, a large school (Humboldt Gymnasium) in Karlsruhe. Here, the old control system from a market competitor was replaced with new DEOS DDC controllers, together with 15 new DI16/G modules. Thanks to the use of the DI16G, no changes had to be made to the wiring of the ground potentials in the control cabinet. After disconnecting the old installation, the DEOS module was inserted in the same place on the top-hat rail and wired to the existing cable routing.
Manuel Hug is enthusiastic about the new DI16 G, the time savings, and the simplicity of the solution. The DI16G is compatible with all other DEOS IO modules and can therefore be freely combined with them. With this added flexibility, new building requirements can be easily implemented.
