In collaboration with INSTATEC: Technology meets cinema – DEOS retrofits MSR systems at CINEDOM during ongoing operations

Cologne’s largest cinema, the CINEDOM at Mediapark, welcomes up to 12,000 guests daily in 14 state-of-the-art theaters under an impressive glass dome. To further enhance visitor comfort, the existing MSR technology was comprehensively renovated in 2024 while the cinema remained open – with solutions from DEOS. The use of energy-efficient DEOS controllers and IO modules not only significantly improved the indoor climate, but also optimized operation thanks to mobile tablets and modern building management technology.

A successful retrofit project in close cooperation with INSTATEC and the CINEDOM team – with clear prospects for further smart enhancements in the future.
