Semperoper Dresden
The Semperoper in Dresden is known worldwide as one of the most beautiful opera houses with outstanding acoustics. Every year, around 290,000 visitors come to the historic building to enjoy approximately 300 symphony concerts, operas, and ballet performances.
The main goal of modernizing the HVAC control system was to reduce the building’s costs. To this end, the old DDC controllers were replaced with new IT-secure OPEN 810 EMS controllers. In addition, IO modules from a third-party manufacturer with its proprietary transmission protocol were integrated. Our system partner GAMEG used existing RS-485 protocol converters for the connection. Bus communication was implemented using software developed specifically for the project.
