Building Automation and Control Networks (BACnet) is a globally standardised network protocol for building automation systems. The BACnet protocol enables the exchange of data among Heating, Ventilation and Air Conditioning (HVAC) systems from various manufacturers. Apart from the field level, it also includes all devices of the automation level and the management level.

An independent test laboratory has tested our OPEN EMS DDC controllers: After in-depth testing, all tests have been concluded successfully. BACnet International confirms the BACnet Revision 1.16 of our controllers. We are proud to be among the first building automation system manufacturers to be accredited with this BACnet Revision.
New features of BACnet Revision 1.16

This object can be used to create clearly arranged representations of all associated BACnet objects of a system or a control circuit, for example.
Trend Log Multiple
Effective immediately, it is possible to use a shared Trend Log Multiple object to apply up to 16 associated trends and thus optimise the entire trend configuration.
This object is used to historicise all occurred events.
This enables processing of negative and positive integers.
DateTime Pattern Value
Configuration of activities based on time and date.
Large Analog Value
The provision of analogue values of a higher accuracy (64-bit) is new.
Extended features and properties with existing objects
Further functions for alarm and event management have been added to all existing BACnet objects. A new function is the option of providing default message text, for example.
The new BACnet Revision 1.16 will be available with all of the new features in the coming OPEN FXL 3.2. All OPEN EMS DDC controllers with BACnet support the new revision.
