Health insurance DKV
DKV Deutsche Krankenversicherung was founded in Berlin in 1927 and moved its headquarters to Cologne in 1954. DKV is now one of the largest private health insurers in Europe and has been part of the ERGO Insurance Group since 1998.
Between 2008 and 2014, the main headquarters, built in 1969, underwent a fundamental refurbishment, which included the renewal of the HVAC systems, the pipelines and the electrical and I&C technology. DEOS Gebäudeautomation GmbH managed the project over this period and equipped it with DEOS solutions. OPENbalance (today: OPENdynamics), for example, ensures a pleasant indoor climate on all floors of the 20-storey building while reducing energy consumption. OPENenergy also helps to make energy costs visible and to reduce them accordingly. In addition, the building management is controlled and monitored via OPENweb.
